Money Making Report No.12

Money Report

Welcome to the twelfth money making report, here’s the last one.

Money seems to still be flowing in at the moment, which seems very strange to me. Although the global recession is starting to bite, I seem to be avoiding the problems floating around at the moment. Hopefully this will last.

Well on to the figures!

So my earnings so far –

Adsense

So far earned: $44.45 (approx £30.34) [+$6.74]

Received: $0

Matched.co.uk

So far earned: £124 (approx $181.67) [+£12.00]

Received: £124

Money4Banners

So far earned: £65 (approx $95.29) [£0]

Received: £65

Private Advertising

So far earned: £48.10 (approx $70.50) [+£0]

Received: £48.10

Growth is my next step, 3 new websites are on the way. More advertising routes must be exploited, more marketing and finally more content. I have neglected this site in favour of concentrating on another project (plus uni work!) So it is about time I start generating new content for here. Initially I have some ‘weekly web round up’ posts to set up, plus a few new series of posts to start in the next couple of weeks.

So I’m back!

  1. After clicking through on your links, I noticed that Matched.co.uk has decided to close down as of Nov. 20. Meanwhile, I submitted an application at that Money4Banners site and am awaiting approval.

It’s interesting that they seem to pay a flat rate of £5 or £10 regardless of a site’s traffic. If these guys follow through on payments, it would be a good way to make sure that even a small site earns enough in revenue to pay for hosting and domain.

Do you happen to know if they allow free Blogspot or WordPress MU domains? I read through their terms and didn’t see anything that prohibited them. If they are allowed, it seems like people with multiple sites could earn significant revenues (and profits, if hosting is free) by placing the banners on each of their niche blogs.

  2. Yeah sadly matched.co.uk closed down, which is a shame, if not too much of a surprise. It seems the benefits to publishers is much better than it is to advertisers. Which reminds me I must remove their ads!

Money4Banners is a good choice, I’ve rarely had any problems, some have been of my own doing! But at £5 a month to display 3 adverts ain’t bad for low traffic blogs/websites. Getting aproved is a bit hit or miss, for example this site didn’t get approved but a couple in my portfolio did.

As far as I’m aware blogspot blogs and free wordpress blogs should be ok, but I have not tried so cannot be certain. My gut feeling is content is the important factor.

    Best of luck,
    Martyn

  3. Hi!

I am happy that you are starting to make money online. I wish I have as much stream of income as yours since today, the earnings only come from two sources.

Anyways, I hope that you could provide money-making tips for us on this blog. Thanks in advance.
