General

Ucas
-The place to start looking for a degree course or
suitable university to study at. As well as having useful information
about financing uni life.

Study

Wikipedia
-‘the free encyclopedia anyone can edit’, must be
the ultimate information/revision source.

Money

-Which to apply for grants and
loans for uni, start here.

Amazon.co.uk
-Not just books, but now practically everything.

Discounts

HottestOffers.co.uk
-Vouchers, special offers and discounts for various retailers.
studentbeans.com
-Great discounts for students on a range of activities
including eating out, and cinema. Cineworld 2 for 1 offer being one of the
best. Not available everywhere though.
student-subscription-service.co.uk
-Cheap magazine subscription service for magazines for students. Including top titles such as New Scientist and BBC Top Gear.
‘Free’ iPod Shuffle
-Sounds unlikely doesn’t it, all you have to do is sign up, complete an online offer (such as a betting
company or free DVD rental trial) and then refer 3 ‘friends’ to do the
same. Still don’t understand how it can be not another scam? Here is a
snippet from a BBC Newsnight program on how it all started in America – Watch
this.
(realplayer required)
‘Free’ Next Generation Console
-Same as above but 8 referrals needed for a Nintendo Wii, 10 referrals for an XBOX 360 Fully
Loaded and 13 referrals for a Sony Playstation 3. Be warned this is a pyramid system, you may need a little help from your friends in order to gain all the referrals required

  1. This site offers free books for download without the need to register that contain short versions of theories in several academic fields. They have been written by professors from the UK and Europe.
And if your tired of studying have a look at the travel part of the website to plan your next vacation 🙂

    Cheers

  2. I thought I might add that a useful sight for study is Google Scholar – particularly as a free source of some peer-reviewed articles. Just remember to reference!
